About The Bookdragon’s Den

Long before The Bookdragon’s Den existed, there were just the two of us — sitting in classrooms, sending voice memos and arguing about books as if it were a competitive sport.

We met in school over ten years ago — and somehow, despite being technically adults now, we’re still not entirely convinced we know what we’re doing. Something many of you can probably relate to.

From the very beginning, we bonded over two things: our shared love for books and our questionable taste in men – real and fictional alike. Yes, at some point there may have been rankings involved. We will neither confirm nor deny.

While real life has taught us that looks aren’t everything (and that real men can occasionally disappoint), our devotion to fictional ones remains unwavering.

A space for stories, chaos, and bookish obsession.

Story / Origin

The official starting point of The Bookdragon’s Den came through a university project. But truthfully? The Den had already existed long before that — in endless voice memos, late-night discussions, heated debates about plot twists, and very serious conversations about morally grey love interests.

What we wanted to create was simple: a space where books aren’t just read, but dissected, celebrated, questioned and screamed about at unreasonable hours of the night.

A place for fellow Bookdragons and serial readers.
Whether you’re new to fantasy worlds or — like us — have spent most of your life wandering through them.

Values

Community

A place where Bookdragons can come together, share ideas, and form new friendships. Together, we talk about tropes, ships, plot twists, and the books we just can’t put down.

Empathy

Every story is experienced differently—and that is exactly what makes reading so special. We approach different opinions, perspectives, and reading experiences with respect, openness, and understanding.

Open Dialogue

We love passionate discussions about books. Different opinions are welcome, as long as they remain respectful. The Den is a place for different perspectives—without gatekeeping, hate, or discrimination.

The faces behind the Den

Meet the Bookdragons.

Lisa

Professional book hoarder and part-time responsible adult. Between chaotic reviews and feminist rants, she collects book boyfriends like Pokémon cards and is  chasing the rarest find of all : the legendary ginger love interest.

Leonie

Professional overbuyer of books and full-time lover of fictional worlds. Can lose herself in heated discussions about books for hours. Favorite color? Morally gray—preferably with dark hair.

Language Disclaimer for our English Bookdragons

A quick note for our English readers:

We read most of our books in English and write all of our reviews ourselves. However, English isn’t our first language. So if a sentence occasionally sounds a little off — that’s on us.

If you ever spot a mistake that genuinely changes the meaning of something, feel free to let us know. We’re always happy to improve.

That said: no need to call the grammar police. We’re aiming for clarity — not perfection.
