I’m Leonie, 27 years old, professional overbuyer of books and full-time lover of fictional worlds. Books have been my favorite escape for as long as I can remember. For me, they’re not just stories — they’re adventures, emotional breakdowns, comfort places, and sometimes the reason I stay awake way past midnight saying “just one more chapter.”

If you spend enough time around me, you’ll quickly learn one very important thing about my reading taste: I have a serious weakness for dark-haired, emotionally damaged male characters. You know the type — mysterious, morally questionable, carrying a tragic backstory and a lot of emotional baggage. And somehow… they always end up being my favorite.

But reading books is only half the fun. My absolute favorite thing is talking about them. Plot twists, heartbreaking scenes, characters that ruined my emotional stability — I want to discuss all of it. Especially with my friends, and most of all with my friend Lisa, with whom I started this project. Many of our conversations quickly turn into deep analyses of fictional characters and dramatic reactions to plot twists.

Another thing I should probably admit: I have a slight habit of buying way more books than I could ever read. My TBR pile is growing at a concerning speed… but honestly, that’s just part of the book lover lifestyle.

This website was created out of our shared love for books and the conversations that come with them. Because sometimes you finish an amazing book and desperately need someone to scream about it with — but not everyone has friends around them who love reading as much.

So this space is for exactly that.

A safe and cozy place for readers to talk about their favorite books, discover new ones, and share the joy (and emotional damage) that stories bring us.
